Emily Staley

Patient Attachment Coordinator

Emily joined the team in December 2023, first as an Executive Assistant, before moving into the role of Patient Attachment Coordinator. In this role, she supports physicians and their staff in optimizing their use of the Provincial Attachment System (PAS), assists with the attachment of complex and palliative patients, and helps members of the community navigate resources and information related to finding a family doctor.

She brings years of experience in customer service and community engagement, including her work with often marginalized populations both locally and abroad through her role on the Board of Directors at Umoja Operation Compassion Society. What Emily enjoys most about her role at the Division is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Even when victories may seem small or few and far between, she finds fulfillment in knowing her work has the ability to have a lasting, positive impact.

Outside of work, she is a dedicated gym-goer and avid weightlifter, and she enjoys cooking, reading, and expanding her knowledge through formal wine education. She also loves traveling the world when time permits, and treasures quality time with her husband David, stepdaughter Emma, and their two cats.
